Pints For Purpose Presents the Inaugural Crystal Coast Oyster Festival

Pints for Purpose

The community on the Crystal Coast is time-honored, gathering together each year for big events like the North Carolina Seafood Festival and the Beaufort Wine and Food Weekend, but this year a new festival is coming to town. We are so excited to announce that Pints for Purpose, a non-profit organization, will be hosting the first ever Crystal Coast Oyster Festival. The festival will benefit the NC Shellfish Growers Association, which is an organization that was founded to “represent the interests of the many people involved in the shellfish industry.”

When: Afternoon and evening of November 26, 2016 (The weekend after Thanksgiving)

Where: Downtown Morehead City, NC on the “Big Rock Jib”

What it is: The Crystal Coast Oyster Festival is $5 to attend and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to our featured charity, The North Carolina Shellfish Growers Association. This event is open to the public and will feature live music, vendors, beer and wine sales and of course, oysters. Fresh local North Carolina oysters (fried, steamed, and raw) will be served up all afternoon and evening for guests to enjoy! Additionally, local business-sponsored oyster competitions, raffles, and cook-offs to raise awareness and generate support for the NC Shellfish Growers Association will be available for your participation. This event is open to the community and is family-friendly. Come downtown to Big Rock Landing and be apart of this new Crystal Coast tradition.

As North Carolinians, we know the importance of supporting our farmers. Joining us at this event will help continue to ensure the conservation of oysters and sustain oyster farming. Call up your friends and family and cruise over to the Crystal Coast Oyster Festival for an afternoon filled with oysters served your favorite ways, live concerts, and tasty beer and wine.

Thanksgiving is a weekend full of traditions and now you have a new one to add this fall that the family will love!
